For Lisandra: Ok you yield 2 bacterias every 20 min so for the first 20 mins you have 1 then the next 20 mins 4 then the next 20 mins 8. So 1 hour you will have 8 bacterias. Look onthe table and you will see that at 5 hors you have 32,728 and at 10 hours you have 1,072,431,104.
#2 think about what might run out as they grow in population. (Resources and space)
#3 Think about how accurate it is and if it isn't accurate redraw the graph.
#4 Compare the difference in bactrial growth (mins) to elephants (years) and the size of organism.
Diffusion is the movement of particles from a highly concentrated area (more of the substance)to an area of lower concentration (less of the substance). The diffusion of water is called Osmosis. In terms of cells, when there's more water outside the cell than there is inside the cell, water will "diffuse" inside the cell. The same happens in the opposite situation.

could you explain how to do the problem solving lab 4.1 on page 95?

For #1, it will help to make a data table. For example, at 0 min, 1 bacteria; 20 min, 2 bacteria; 40 min, 4 bacteria, so on and so forth.
For #2, the answer is given in the "Solve the Problem" section.
For #3, you have to change the scale and draw your own graph.
For #4, you might have to read more about population growth in the chapter 4-1.

Can you explain what diffusing is, within cells, like water? What does diffusing cause?

Can you help me with dna comparison?

How does the Texas Horned Lizard transfer its energy after lying on hot rocks? Is it by conduction?

DNA is can be thought of as the "Blueprint of Life". It contains all the heredity information that makes us unique individuals.
11:07 PM
Yes...conduction is the transfer of heat energy via direct contact
